The association’s objective is to bring culture to Orion and to create a place for encounters and exchanges in the sense of the French-German friendship.Since its creation, the association “Rencontre d’Orion” has organized many cultural events: concerts, readings, exhibitions, conferences as well as theater.

This is Hannes Carsten's entry in the guest book after taking part in the reflection week “We are memorial” as a scholarship holder of the Freundeskreis Château d’Orion e.V.
However, such scholarships are only a small part of what the Freundeskreis Château d'Orion e.V. is all about. The cultivation of Franco-German relations is one of the association's central concerns, as evidenced by the organisation and promotion of numerous events, including seminars, workshops, readings, exhibitions and concerts in Germany and France.
The association has made it its mission to promote a wide variety of areas, such as science, culture and it makes a contribution to the promotion of international sentiments. New projects from various disciplines are constantly emerging. For example, an exchange between German and French craftsmen in order to learn from each other and establish relationships.
